mistake, sorry

Great piece for those who have never seen this legendary real life cowboy & those who have seen him before, a real rough & tumble film. Not toot shoret or long, it also has the Grand Canyon as a bonus. Mix did his own stunts(thoug I'm not too sure about his aerial stunts dangling from a plane). Highly recommended!

This feature film, filmed on location at The Grand Canyon and with nicely integrated aerial photography to boot, (some of the first of it's kind)is a showcase of Tom Mix at his best. Ridng hard, fighting hard, saving the day and the damsel in distress are the order of the day. One take stunt work as well. Late in the picture a white horse Tom is riding takes a nasty, unintentional fall. Tom re-mounts and continues with the shot in hot persuit. It's a very physical film in many ways. Story line is just adequate enough to serve its purpose. J. Farrell MCDonald makes a couple of brief appearances as the outlaw leader and shows some subtle sensitivity. McDonald was a very good actor who would not hit his stride until sound came in with mature roles of various types in both "A" & "B" pictures. One minor complaint, since the film is 88 years old, some of the film is grainy and bleached out, but still watchable. Highly recommended. Enjoy.
